The Friends of Ashford Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent charity, established in 2003, to provide :-

Fund raising activities to enable us to make grants for products or services to support the work of Ashford Borough Citizens Advice.

The Friends of Ashford Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent charity, established in 2003, to provide :-

Fund raising activities to enable us to make grants for products or services to support the work of Ashford Borough Citizens Advice.

In the last five years, we have raised over £10,800 for Ashford Borough Citizens Advice.

This money has been raised by various regular activities such as

  • Street collections.
  • Collections at local garden centres and supermarkets.
  • Give As You Live online shopping donations.

And one-off, or annual activities such as

  • Concert with the Invicta Singers.
  • Sponsored walk.
  • Raffle at the Chamber of Commerce Christmas lunch.

We have provided funds to Ashford Borough Citizens Advice for

  • Ashford Borough Citizens Advice website.
  • Dedicated form filling assistance service.
  • One-off items required by the Bureau e.g. digital projector, computers and printers.
  • Providing training for advisors.
  • Special projects, such as Saturday opening.
  • Making of a promotional video

The Citizens Advice service offers practical, up-to-date information and advice on a wide range of topics, including; debt, benefits, housing, legal, discrimination, employment, immigration, consumer and other problems.
Our advice is available to everyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, nationality, disability or religion.
